Welcome to

New Mexico

Launched in 2017, the Startup World Cup is a worldwide contest ​that identifies finalists through regional competitions held across ​the globe, including several U.S. cities and regions in North ​America, South America, Europe, Asia, Africa, and Australia.


NMSU's Arrowhead Center will initiate the New Mexico regional ​competition for the Startup World Cup during the closing ​ceremony of the New Mexico Startup Forum. The event is ​scheduled for September 4th and 5th in Albuquerque, New ​Mexico.


The winner of the regional competition will advance to compete in ​the Startup World Cup in San Francisco, with the opportunity to ​win a $1 million prize. Additionally, all travel logistics for the ​winner will be fully covered.


This year, for the ​first time, NMSU’s ​Arrowhead Center is ​bringing the Startup ​World Cup to

Q&A

  • What will be the pitch format?

Each startup team will have 4 minutes for pitch and 2 minutes for Q&A.


  • What is the prize for the winner?

The winner of the New Mexico Regional Startup World Pitch Contest will secure a place at the Grand Finale in San Francisco and will receive a stipend to cover all travel expenses to attend the Grand Finale.


  • Who can apply?

Early-stage startups located in New Mexico (Pre-seed to Series A).


  • Is it open to startups from all industries?

Yes, the Startup World Cup pitch competition welcomes startups from all verticals and industries.


  • What happens at the Grand Finale?

Startups from all over the world pitch and compete for an investment prize of $1M. The event features 20+ world-class speakers, 200+ investors and corporate executes and there are 2,500+ attendees from tech, media, and global startups.
